Walks in the Lincolnshire Wolds

There are many walks in the Lincolnshire Wolds of various lengths and difficulty. The official site of the Lincolnshire Wolds has 18 different leaflets on walks. The leaflets have detailed descriptions of the walks as well as maps. They tell you where to park your car, about difficulty, length, and estimated time it will take. These can be ordered here and more here

If you would like to walk with a group, the Ramblers organization is very active in the Wolds. Their website is here. From this website you can enter an area where you would like to walk and find a list of scheduled walks. There are lots to choose from.

The Viking Way in Lincolnshire is over 130 miles long and runs through the Wolds. People use the Viking Way for short day hikes and some do the entire length which takes two weeks. A guide book is available for £2.50 from

Wold View House is a bed and breakfast for both humans and their horses. They have three double rooms with lovely views of the Wolds. There is a tea room where you can have lunch or a delicious cream tea with homemade cakes and pastries. Your horse will be comfortable and happy in his own stall which includes breakfast.
